For all my NYC residents, it's safe to say that this past weekend gave everyone an excuse to enjoy temperatures that weren't in the single digits. I decided to drive over to the Long Island City Piers, enjoy an all you can eat Asian bistro for lunch/dinner (linner?) & end my night at the Brooklyn Museum, which hosted it's Target First Saturdays (free admission! click here).
Lately, I've been suffering from sartorial ennui. Long story short, I am tired of the monotony and predictability that comes with winter season's looks. I switched it up by pairing trousers (a very underrated item) with an oversized blazer that has gorgeous chiffon detailing on the back. Sometimes the most subtle combinations translate to a fabulous outfit. I love that these pieces aren't necessarily body hugging, yet they create a nice silhouette and render sensual femininity.
Stay warm everyone! …and remember: "Don't give anyone the authority to make you feel inferior."
